Gang Hunted After Metal Bar Attack Leaves Man Seriously Injured in Stratford

A violent attack has left one man seriously injured and the community in Stratford shaken, as police continue their search for a gang responsible for assaulting two men with metal bars. The incident occurred on Bishops Close on Sunday, February 15, at approximately 5:45 pm.

According to authorities, two men were targeted by a group wielding metal bars during the attack. One victim sustained significant head injuries and is receiving medical attention. Despite ongoing investigations, no arrests have yet been made.

Police have appealed to the public for any information that could assist in their inquiry. “We urge anyone who witnessed anything suspicious around that time to contact us immediately,” a police spokesperson said. Individuals can report information by calling 101 and referencing incident number 215 of February 15.

Stratford neighborhood Sergeant Charlie Thompson addressed residents’ concerns, stating, “This incident has understandably left many shocked and worried. However, we believe it to be an isolated case with no ongoing threat to the wider community.” He added that additional police patrols will be deployed in the area over the coming days and encouraged residents to engage with officers if they have any questions or worries.
