Australian singer-songwriter Gabriella Cilmi, renowned for her hit song ‘Sweet About Me’, has announced a UK tour to promote her new album, Pure Love. As part of this tour, she is actively seeking local support acts for her Birmingham performance.
Cilmi is scheduled to perform at Dead Wax in Digbeth on 26 November 2026 and has expressed a desire to collaborate with talented musicians from each city on her tour. In a recent Instagram post, she wrote, “Hello beautiful people! I’m looking for local artists in the UK to join me on my upcoming UK tour. I have a new record coming out called Pure Love, which I’ll be taking out on the road to Leeds, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, London and Birmingham. There are so many incredible musicians making music in the UK right now, and I’d love for some of you to join me in each city. If you or someone you know are looking for the opportunity to get out there and play to a great audience, leave a comment or tag them in the comments with your city.”
Fans and musicians alike have responded enthusiastically, with comments such as “Take us on tour! Would love nothing more!”, “Love this idea!”, and “I would be honoured.”

Dead Wax, the venue for the Birmingham concert, is well known for its live music events, vinyl DJ sessions, craft beers and vibrant club nights, and is located on Adderley Street in Digbeth.
Gabriella Cilmi has recently returned to the music scene with performances at events such as The Great Escape and the Beverley Knight tour. Her recent live appearances also include shows in Australia alongside The Corrs and a BRITs / War Child concert in London featuring artists like Jack Savoretti and Katherine Jenkins.
Notably, Cilmi previously supported Leona Lewis at Birmingham’s LG Arena (now BP Pulse Live Arena) on 8 June 2010.
