The fundraiser organizer shared a touching statement on GoFundMe: “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Paul Pike, a young man who touched so many lives. I had the privilege of mentoring Paul through MW Impact, which allowed us to build a genuine and strong bond. I spent time with him at his school, The Edge in Northfield, and at Barton Lodge, his care home where he was surrounded by people who cared for him like family.”

Paul grew up in Kings Heath and was well-known and loved in his community. He was passionate about football, a loyal supporter of both Birmingham City and Solihull Moors, and had a strong love for cricket. He never missed an opportunity to attend matches, embodying the spirit of a true sports enthusiast.

Tragically, Paul passed away after attending the Birmingham City away game in Derby. The news of his passing has had a profound impact on all who knew him. The Birmingham City community rallied during the time he was missing, coming together through posts, awareness campaigns, and search efforts illustrating how deeply he was cared for.

In a touching homage, Solihull Moors recently honored Paul with a round of applause during a match, reflecting the wide reach of his influence in the football community.

Paul leaves behind his loving mother Lisa and brothers Andrew and James, who are enduring an incredibly difficult time. The funds being raised aim to provide Paul with a dignified farewell that celebrates his life, passions, and the positive effect he had on those around him.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps Paul’s family give him the send-off he deserves filled with love and respect. Paul may be deeply missed, but his memory will live on.
