Four Teenagers Arrested After Stolen Car Chase Ends in Crash in Stoke-on-Trent

Four teenagers have been arrested following a brief police chase involving a stolen car that ended in a crash in Stoke-on-Trent.

Staffordshire Police were alerted to the theft of a Honda vehicle from outside a residence on Dividy Road, Bentilee, at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 15. Later that day, at around 2:40 p.m., officers spotted the stolen vehicle on London Road, Stoke.

When police attempted to stop the car, the driver failed to comply, leading to a pursuit that concluded with the vehicle crashing on Stoke Road. The occupants tried to flee on foot but were apprehended.

The suspects, all from Stoke-on-Trent, are:

  • A 15-year-old boy, arrested on multiple charges including aggravated vehicle taking, attempted theft, dangerous driving, failure to stop, being equipped for theft, possession of a Class B controlled drug (cannabis), possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and motor vehicle theft.

  • A 17-year-old boy, arrested on suspicion of criminal damage under £5,000, dangerous driving, and three counts of motor vehicle theft.

  • A 16-year-old boy, facing charges of aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving, failure to stop, making off without payment, and motor vehicle theft.

  • A 14-year-old boy, arrested for theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a Class B controlled drug (cannabis).

All four have been released on bail with conditions while the investigation continues.
