An ex-Birmingham City defender will swap the football pitch for the boxing ring this October in a special charity event. On 22 October, A Night to Remember III will see professional footballers don mouthguards and gloves for a night dedicated to raising money for good causes.
The previous two events have collectively raised over £201,500 for charity, and organisers are hoping the third instalment will be equally successful.
Among those confirmed to take part is Harlee Dean, 35, who made nearly 200 league appearances for Birmingham City. Since signing for the club in 2017, Dean became a fan favourite and was awarded the Supporters' Player of the Year in the 2020/21 season. He currently plays for National League North side Morecambe.

Also on the card is Simon Cox, a familiar name for West Bromwich Albion supporters, who will also be stepping into the ring during the event.
Graham Stack, former Arsenal goalkeeper and founder of Pro Project Promotions, described the lineup as the biggest and most emotional yet. He said, “Each of these lads has a story worth telling – some have played at the highest level of football, others have faced significant challenges, but all are stepping back into the ring to support those in need. With documentaries airing on Amazon Prime, we expect more people than ever to appreciate what this event truly represents.”
Stack added that they hope the event, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, will be their most successful to date and encouraged fans to purchase tickets early, as they are expected to sell out quickly.
