Similarly, Canada has introduced stringent measures, including suspending certain immigration documents for residents of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, and South Sudan until August 28, 2026. Travelers from these regions will undergo health assessments upon arrival and must quarantine for 21 days if asymptomatic, with isolation protocols in place for those exhibiting symptoms. These measures align with Canada’s Quarantine Act and will remain effective until August 29, 2026.
The United States has also enforced temporary entry restrictions for travelers who have recently visited the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan. Authorities recommend consulting airlines before travel and adhering to updated guidance provided for individuals arriving from Ebola-affected areas.

In Asia, Japan faces severe weather disruptions due to Typhoon No. 6 Jangmi, impacting central regions including Tokyo. Residents and travelers in the affected areas should anticipate heavy rainfall, strong winds, localized flooding, and possible interruptions to air and rail transportation. The Foreign Office advises monitoring updates from national and local authorities and following all safety instructions.
Thailand has also heightened health screening protocols for travelers arriving from Ebola-affected countries to mitigate risks associated with the outbreak.
