Eesa Waste Solutions Ltd, a London-based waste management company, has been fined after illegally dumping boxes of mayonnaise, tea, and cardboard on Fox Hollies Road in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham Magistrates Court heard on Thursday, 27 August.
The company pleaded guilty to two breaches of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. The offences involved dumping 30 boxes of mayonnaise, 10 boxes of loose tea, 10 boxes of tea pre-mix, and 700 grams of cardboard without a permit last October. Additionally, the company failed to provide written details on how the waste was disposed of.
Evidence presented included CCTV footage showing the vehicle used for dumping, linked to Eesa Waste Solutions through police national computer checks. The company later confirmed that the drivers identified in the footage were their employees. The waste was initially arranged to be collected from Space Station Hall Green on 24 October 2025 by Eesa, who invoiced IK Corporation £300 for the service.

Kate Simms, prosecuting for Birmingham City Council, highlighted the dangers posed by fly-tipping, including attracting vermin and posing risks to public health and fire safety - particularly concerning as the waste included food products. She criticised the company for showing ‘a flagrant disregard to the law.’
In their defence, director Imran Hussain submitted documents detailing steps taken to prevent future offences. He stated that drivers had been instructed to dispose of the waste at City Skips and an unnamed site in Nechells, where a waste transfer note would have been issued. The court noted that Eesa Waste Solutions had no previous convictions and had entered a guilty plea at the earliest opportunity.
Despite this, magistrates concluded the company deliberately dumped the waste, observing that the drivers had passed the authorised disposal sites before illegally dumping the materials. Eesa Waste Solutions Ltd was fined £3,330, with an additional surcharge of £1,332 and costs amounting to £1,260.
