The family of Anthony Priestley, a cherished father and community member, has shared the first photograph of him following his tragic death in Coventry.
Anthony, aged 53, was discovered with severe stab wounds at a residence on Aldrich Avenue on Tuesday, November 18. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a heartfelt tribute, his family expressed their sorrow and love, stating, “Anton, we loved you so much and we cannot imagine that we’re never going to see you again. Our love for you will never end.”

His daughter also paid an emotional homage, saying, “Thanks for all the lovely memories I have of you. Your loving daughter.”
Alexander Neilson, 28, who has no fixed address, was arrested shortly after the incident and has now been formally charged with murder and aggravated burglary. He remains in custody and is set to appear at Coventry Magistrates Court the following day.
