The Barton family has been left devastated after Lee Barton, a 45-year-old father of three, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, January 29. Known affectionately as “Bart” among friends, Lee’s sudden passing has sparked an outpouring of love and tributes on social media.
Lee was a dedicated father to his 14-year-old son Regi and his eight-year-old twin daughters, Jess and Viv. Alongside his partner Sarah’s four children—Betty, Archie, Tom, and Ronnie—he was a loving stepdad whose presence will be deeply missed.
Described by his brother Danny as a “loveable rogue,” Lee was not only a skilled plumber but also a free-spirited soul with a heart of gold. Danny shared how Lee’s personality was a mix of loyalty, humor, and fearless kindness. “He was mad, funny, loving, caring, and a bit of a nutcase,” Danny said. “But above all, he was dedicated to helping others, especially the homeless.”

Lee had actively volunteered with several organizations supporting homeless people in Wolverhampton and participated in sleepout events to raise awareness of their struggles.
In response to the tragic loss, friends and family have rallied together to support Lee’s family through a GoFundMe campaign that has already raised over £6,000 towards an £8,000 goal. The fundraiser notes, “Lee made everyone smile and laugh wherever he went. Now, his three beautiful children have lost the best dad in the world. Let’s come together to help them with whatever they need—whether it’s a trip, a holiday, or a memorial—to honor Lee’s memory.”
