Family of Mum-to-Be Mourns ‘Two Lives and Two Futures’ Lost in Tragic Crash

A Birmingham family is grappling with unimaginable loss after 25-year-old Heather Allen, who was 23 weeks pregnant, died in a car accident last September in Nuneaton. Tragically, her unborn daughter, Blossom, could not be saved.

As Heather’s 26th birthday approaches on June 19, her loved ones are coming together to honor her memory with a special memorial night at The Station Inn pub in Stechford, beginning at 5pm.

Heather’s sister, Myrtle, opened up about the profound grief and emptiness the family continues to endure in her absence. Instead of celebrating with cards, presents, and birthday candles, the family chooses to remember Heather and Blossom and face a heartbreaking reality none of them imagined.

“At just 25, Heather had her whole life ahead of her—preparing eagerly for motherhood. In losing her, we lost two lives, two futures, and countless dreams all at once,” Myrtle shared. “The pain of losing a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend, and an unborn baby simultaneously is beyond words.”

Myrtle reflected on the silence replacing Heather’s laughter during family gatherings, the unanswered messages, and the vacant place at the table. She emphasized that this birthday is marked not by joy but by profound sorrow.

“Heather should be here turning 26, planning her future, and welcoming her baby girl into the world. Now, all that remains are photographs, treasured memories, and a love death cannot touch.”

While time is often said to heal wounds, Myrtle explained that for her family, it has only taught them how to carry their grief.

“Not a day goes by without thinking of Heather and her baby. This Friday will be filled with tears, hugs, laughter at her stories, and longing for just one more moment together,” she said.

Though their hearts were shattered by loss, the family’s love endures. “Heaven gained two angels, but we lost a beloved daughter, sister, and baby who are deeply missed beyond words,” Myrtle concluded.

Forever 25. Forever loved. Forever our Heather.
