Family Mourns Devoted Father Killed in Tragic Van Crash on A614

The family of Scott Beattie, a devoted and loving father, has paid heartfelt tribute following his untimely death in a road accident on the A614. The 41-year-old, who lived in Clipstone, Nottinghamshire, lost his life after his Ford Transit van struck a tree at approximately 2:15 pm on Friday, January 23.

The crash occurred between Thoresby Roundabout and the Clumber Park Hotel as Mr. Beattie was driving south. Deeply mourned by his partner and four children, Scott was remembered by his family as a man full of warmth, humor, and kindness.

In a touching statement, they said: “Scott was a devoted and loving father to his four children, a cherished son, brother, and a dear friend to many. He was loving, funny, and hardworking, with the biggest heart and endless generosity of time, affection, and love for others. Scott will be sorely missed by everyone whose life he touched, and our lives will never be the same without him. We promise to keep his memory alive.”

The local police continue their investigation into the events leading up to the crash. They have urged anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam footage, particularly of a white van traveling south towards Ollerton shortly beforehand, to come forward.

Detective Constable Liah Lane commented, “As we work to provide answers to Mr. Beattie’s family, we would like to speak to anyone who saw this white van traveling south towards Ollerton in the moments before the collision. Any piece of information, no matter how minor it may seem, could be vital to our inquiry.”
