Following the March closure of the iconic Oasis Market, Fallout Clothing, a well-loved Birmingham seller of official band T-shirts, patches, and music merchandise, is set to open its first standalone store in the city centre. Established in 1996, Fallout Clothing had a prominent presence within the Oasis Market for decades, becoming a hub for music fans and a space for friendship and community.
After briefly relocating to the basement of Scruffy Murphy’s, a rock pub on Dale End, Fallout has now secured a permanent unit on Martineau Place, just off Corporation Street. Martineau Place has recently emerged as a hotspot for Birmingham’s alternative scene, especially since the opening of the horror-themed cafe bar Merlin’s last summer.
With plans to open within weeks and target a December launch, manager Brad Cureton shared how much the new shop means to both staff and customers. “Fallout has been around since 1996, and next year marks our thirtieth year. We’ve seen friends meet here over shared music tastes and grow closer through coming together. It’s more than a shop—it’s a meeting place and an experience,” he said.

Brad’s connection runs deep, having visited Fallout since childhood and started working there as a teenager. Alongside his best mate Alex, Brad looks forward to continuing to build the Fallout community in this new setting.
The new store, formerly a nail salon, will be revamped to create a vibrant, music-filled atmosphere stocked with official band merchandise. Located at Martineau Place (B2 4UW), close to the Corporation Street tram stop and a short walk from the Bullring, Fallout Clothing aims to remain a cherished destination for Birmingham’s music lovers and alternative culture.
