Hello Food Club friends! Kirsty here, delighted to share some positive news from Birmingham’s thriving food scene.
This autumn and winter promise plenty for food lovers, with several exciting launches just around the corner.
First up, we have an official opening date for Flat Iron! Many of you have expressed interest in trying this spot, renowned for its affordable £15 tender beef cuts. Stay tuned for full details on the opening and how you can enjoy half-price meals there.

Also, from Temple Street meat to Temple Row rolls, KIBOU is set to open its new sushi restaurant this coming Monday. The arrival has come around quickly, and it’s sure to be a great addition.
In other news, a new coffee shop named New Era is preparing to open in Stirchley, taking over the former Verbena unit on Pershore Road. This venture sounds promising, and Vinyl Socials-a name that fits Stirchley’s vibe perfectly-is also gearing up to launch soon. Make sure to keep an eye out!
Already open is Mello, a fantastic new coffee shop nestled within Birmingham’s beloved charity shop, Reloved Brum, located on High Street in the Birmingham Hospice store. It’s a wonderful enhancement to the area.
On the accolades front, Digbeth has reason to celebrate after its major food hall was named the best in Britain, just six months after opening. Meanwhile, in the Jewellery Quarter and Stirchley, two bars have earned prestigious awards for their outstanding cocktail offerings.
