EE has announced a change in its pricing structure, with price increases set to take effect on March 31 for both mobile and broadband customers. This adjustment will impact customers currently under contract, including those on plans established two or more years ago.
Previously, EE linked price changes to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation rate, which meant percentage-based increases tied to inflation figures. However, starting April 2024, the company is shifting to fixed annual price hikes expressed in pounds and pence. This change offers customers clearer, more predictable billing.
Specifically, customers who previously faced inflation-linked increases—such as a 7.3% rise based on 2026 CPI projections—will now encounter a flat £4 monthly increase each year starting March 31.

An EE spokesperson explained: “Since April 2024, annual price changes have been in pounds and pence, so you can have certainty when it comes to the cost of our products and services from year to year. Any planned increases will be set out in pounds and pence and will be applied each 31 March during the minimum term of your plan. Once your minimum term has ended, the increase to your plan charge will be applied each 1 March.”
For example, a new SIM-only mobile plan priced at £25 per month on a two-year contract will rise to £27.50 from March 31, 2026, and to £30 from March 31, 2027.
EE also reassured customers that communications explaining these changes will be sent via email or text between January and mid-March. Customers can expect detailed explanations about how these adjustments affect their specific plans.
The price increases will apply to monthly plan charges, add-ons, and out-of-bundle charges starting March 31 during the contract’s minimum term. After the minimum term ends, plan charge increases will be applied annually on March 1, while add-ons and out-of-bundle charges will continue to rise on March 31.
Customers should review their upcoming bills carefully to understand how the new pricing model affects their monthly charges.
