The Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market is currently recruiting staff to join its team for this year’s popular festive event, offering pay that exceeds the national minimum wage.
Job seekers are invited to work alongside the German team across various stalls at the market, which runs from Thursday, 5 November through to Christmas Eve, Thursday, 24 December. The market features around 60 beautifully decorated wooden stalls that stretch from the Bullring end of New Street up to Victoria Square, drawing millions of visitors annually.
Stalls offer an array of delights including beverages such as beer, traditional foods like the renowned bratwurst sausages, as well as a selection of gifts and trinkets.

The organisers are seeking both full-time and part-time staff. While previous experience is advantageous, it is not essential as training will be provided. Interviews are scheduled to take place from late September through October, so prospective applicants are encouraged to apply promptly.
Roles available include bar staff, who should be friendly and adept at engaging with customers; catering assistants responsible for serving items such as bratwurst, chocolate-covered fruit, bratkartoffeln, and schokoküsse; as well as back-of-house positions like kitchen assistants, porters, and glasswashers.
The advertised wage is £13.45 per hour, which is above the current minimum wage rates: £12.71 for adults aged 21 and over as of April 2026, £10.85 for 18 to 20-year-olds, and £8 for individuals under 18 and apprentices.

When open, the market operates from 11am to 9pm on Mondays through Thursdays, extending to 9:30pm on Fridays. On Saturdays, opening hours are 10am to 9:30pm, and Sundays from 10am to 9pm, except for Remembrance Sunday on 8 November, when the market opens at 1pm.
