Drunken Rant Outside Birmingham New Street Greggs Lands Man in Court

A 25-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody following a drunken outburst outside Greggs at Birmingham New Street station on a Friday morning, a court heard.

Adam Dadra, from Templemore Drive, was heard shouting aggressive remarks including, “I’m going to f***ing kick off” and challenging police officers with, “what are you going to do?” His disorderly behavior occurred openly in front of members of the public, including a pregnant woman.

The incident took place on March 27 at 9:50 a.m., when police arrived to find Dadra intoxicated and causing a disturbance. He was promptly handcuffed and transported to custody.

At Birmingham Magistrates' Court this week, Dadra pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He appeared unrepresented and showed no remorse when asked if he wished to apologize for his conduct.

The court imposed a fine of £331, instructing Dadra that failure to pay within 28 days could result in bailiffs being sent to collect the debt. The magistrates emphasized the seriousness of his actions given the early hour and public setting of the incident.

Having no prior convictions, Dadra was nevertheless reminded of the consequences of similar behavior going forward before being released.
