Drayton Manor Unveils Spectacular Christmas Event Featuring 30-Metre Illuminated Water Screen Show

Drayton Manor is set to dazzle visitors this festive season with the return of its highly anticipated Magical Christmas event throughout 2026. The highlight of the festivities includes a breathtaking water, fire, light, and music spectacle performed over the park’s lake. Central to the show is an impressive 30-metre water screen adorned with vibrant, stunning projections, accompanied by more than 65 water jets that shoot playfully into the sky, all combining to create what organisers describe as the perfect grand finale to a memorable family day out.

Guests are invited to embark on a magical journey aboard the Festive Sodor Railway, surrounded by twinkling Christmas decorations that add to the enchanting atmosphere. Families can enjoy marshmallow toasting sessions and an extensive entertainment programme featuring live musical performances throughout the day.

Children will delight in meeting Father Christmas within his festive grotto, where they will receive a special gift to take home, adding to the magic of the occasion. Additionally, the event features an Aladdin Pantomime show complete with beloved characters, traditional songs, and humorous Christmas-themed comedy.

Admission tickets grant access not only to the various festive activities but also to over 25 rides and attractions in Thomas Land, including popular family rides such as the Jolly Buccaneer and the Bounty Pirate Ship.

The Christmas event will be open on selected dates from 28 November through to Christmas Eve, providing ample opportunity for families to experience the seasonal celebrations.

Notably, Drayton Manor’s award-winning SEND Grotto will return this year, offering a sensory-friendly visit tailored for children with additional needs. Operating every Saturday during the event, this calm and accessible environment features reduced sensory stimulation and extra time with Father Christmas. The grotto is fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring all families can enjoy the experience at a comfortable pace.

Ollie Carr, Deputy General Manager at Drayton Manor, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Christmas is one of our favourite times of year at Drayton Manor. We love to transform the park with beautiful decorations, deliver outstanding entertainment, and support visitors in creating treasured memories. We’re thrilled to bring back family favourites such as the Christmas Grotto and our award-winning SEND Grotto, alongside the pantomime and our spectacular end-of-day show. There is truly something for everyone, and we look forward to sharing the magic this Christmas.”

Tickets start at just £22.50 per person when booked before the end of September. Additional festive extras are also available to enhance the experience, starting from £5. For more information and to book tickets, visitors are encouraged to visit the Drayton Manor website.
