Former President Donald Trump erupted in a late-night rant condemning the Super Bowl LX halftime show, calling Bad Bunny’s performance “disgusting” and “one of the worst ever.” Despite skipping the NFL event, citing “distance issues,” Trump seized the opportunity to criticize the Grammy Award-winning artist from afar.
Bad Bunny’s halftime show included a subtle nod to political controversy. A clip of his Grammy Awards speech—where he said, “Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say ICE out”—was shown on a small TV screen in a family setting, which appeared to reference Trump’s immigration policies.
Responding on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump unleashed a blistering critique: “The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence.”

He further stated, “Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting—especially for young children watching throughout the U.S.A. and all over the World.” Trump described the show as a “slap in the face” to America and took a moment to boast about the country’s economy under his administration.
Trump also accused the “Fake News Media” of being clueless for their positive reviews of the performance, declaring, “There is nothing inspirational about this mess of a Halftime Show.”
Beyond the entertainment element, Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the NFL’s new kickoff rule, which restricts player movement before the ball is caught or touches the ground. “The NFL should immediately replace its ridiculous new Kickoff Rule. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he concluded.
