An elderly cyclist in his 80s was injured in a collision with a car at the junction of Yardley Wood Road and Chinn Brook Road in Moseley, Birmingham. The incident occurred shortly after 10 a.m. on Sunday, November 23.
Emergency services, including West Midlands Ambulance Service, quickly arrived at the scene. The cyclist sustained injuries that are not believed to be serious. An off-duty nurse present nearby assisted the man immediately after the collision.
After receiving initial treatment at the scene, the cyclist was transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further care. West Midlands Police secured the area and conducted investigations following the accident.

Witnesses reported that a blue car was involved in the collision. One bystander mentioned, “A friend who is a nurse attended to the gentleman who was in his 80s.” Another said, “When I passed by, the police had the area taped off around a blue car, which I assume was the vehicle that struck the cyclist.”
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed the details: “We were called to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction at 10.09 a.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival, we found a car and a bicycle involved. The cyclist was treated for injuries not believed to be serious and conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.”
