Robby’s Indian Dining, a well-known curry house in Kingswinford, Midlands, has introduced a new dress code policy banning tracksuits and hoodies during Friday and Saturday evenings. Established in 1988 on Townsend Place, the restaurant aims to offer a fine dining experience and believes this dress requirement will help maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
The restaurant has requested patrons to adhere to smart attire on weekend nights, emphasizing that casual wear, including tracksuits and hoodies, will only be permitted with prior management approval.
A recent Instagram post from Robby’s reads, “We kindly ask our guests to follow our dress code policy. Smart attire is required to maintain a welcoming atmosphere. Casual wear may be allowed with prior management approval. Please note that hoodies and tracksuits are not permitted on Friday and Saturday evenings. Thank you for your understanding.”

This move mirrors similar policies at other local venues, such as The Dark Horse pub in Moseley, which also bans tracksuits on weekend nights and has introduced additional security measures like bag searches. Robby’s Indian Dining declined further comment when approached by BirminghamLive.
