At Crufts 2026, held in Birmingham, an adorable Clumber Spaniel named Bruin has been crowned Best in Show, beating thousands of talented dogs from around the world.
Known also as Soloist, Bruin’s owner expressed sheer delight at the victory: “Just amazing, I can’t believe it. It’s wonderful for this breed. He’s a dog of a lifetime—he’s a bit of a diva, likes his own way, very chilled but never lets me down.”
The Clumber Spaniel breed is recognised by the UK Kennel Club as a “vulnerable native breed,” with fewer than 300 new registrations each year, making this win particularly special.
