Burglary Causes £8,000 Damage at Dudley Bar GeeZ

A break-in at GeeZ bar in King Street, Dudley, on Monday, January 26, resulted in approximately £8,000 worth of damage. The incident saw fire doors smashed and CCTV cameras forcibly removed, while a few bottles of alcohol were stolen and the till was emptied, leaving only a few pence behind.

West Midlands Police confirmed the investigation is ongoing. A spokesperson said: “We are looking into a break-in at a premises on King Street, Dudley, which occurred around 6am on January 26. Alcohol, cash, and electrical equipment were taken, and the property sustained damage.”

The bar, which was preparing to launch a new restaurant, described the break-in as a significant setback. Due to the damage and necessary repairs to safety features, GeeZ remains closed. The venue hopes to reopen by mid-February once all safety measures are restored.
