A unique charity shop has opened its doors in the Bullring, offering shoppers the chance to find designer items while supporting a worthy cause.
Smart Works Birmingham launched the shop on Link Street, conveniently located between the Bullring and Grand Central, for a one-month pop-up from February 1 to 28. The store is stocked with stylish women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories generously donated by leading fashion retailers.
All proceeds from sales will fund Smart Works Birmingham’s mission to support local women preparing for job interviews. Beyond providing professional attire, the organisation offers coaching and confidence-building programs to help women secure employment and build successful careers.

Following a successful debut pop-up on Link Street earlier this year—which raised £900 in just two hours—Smart Works Birmingham is back by popular demand. The shop is open daily from 10am to 6pm, welcoming bargain hunters and fashion enthusiasts alike.
Past pop-ups have uncovered treasures from high street brands to well-known designer labels, giving visitors the excitement of scoring quality pieces at great prices.
Ann Powell, Centre Manager at Smart Works Birmingham, emphasized the shop’s impact: “Our pop-up shops are vital for raising both funds and awareness of our work. The response to our previous shop was incredible, and we’re thrilled to return to Link Street. Every purchase directly empowers women across Birmingham with the confidence, clothing, and coaching they need to succeed in job interviews.”
Volunteering opportunities are also available at the shop—interested individuals can speak with staff to learn how to get involved.
This limited-time pop-up offers a perfect blend of fashion, philanthropy, and community support—don’t miss your chance to shop with purpose before February 28.
