Gruesome footage captured on CCTV reveals a violent attack where five men were assaulted with machetes, baseball bats, knives, and even a firearm. The victims were inside a car when it was deliberately rammed by two vehicles on Reedswood Lane, Walsall, late at night on July 31, 2024.
Armed assailants launched a ferocious attack, discharging a gunshot at close range into the vehicle, causing severe and life-threatening injuries. One victim’s condition necessitated an induced coma due to the severity of the wounds.
Amar Khan, 40, of Bentley Drive, Walsall, was sentenced to 13 years and four months in prison last Friday at Wolverhampton Court, after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and possession of offensive weapons including bladed articles.

Khan had been on the run until his September arrest following a public appeal by West Midlands Police. He joins eight other men previously sentenced to a combined total of over 120 years for their roles in this premeditated, vicious attack.
Police efforts included meticulous analysis of extensive CCTV footage and phone tracking to identify all suspects. Detective Inspector Francis Nock from the Major Crime Unit emphasized the relentless pursuit of justice: “This shocking outbreak of violence, involving weapons and a discharged firearm, resulted in life-threatening injuries. We will not tolerate such brutality on our streets.”
Despite attempts to evade capture, Khan and his accomplices now face long prison terms for their brutal actions that left multiple victims seriously injured.
