Britain’s Got Talent Audiences Gasps as Liwei Yang’s Fiery Act Dazzles and Dangers

Britain’s Got Talent is known for showcasing extraordinary talents, but few acts have combined such flair with danger quite like Liwei Yang’s performance in the latest ITV series opener. As the third contestant to step on stage, Liwei’s breathtaking act involved flipping flaming pots and even a blazing table with her legs, leaving audiences simultaneously in awe and apprehensive.

Viewers quickly took to social media to share their reactions, many admitting they found it difficult to watch the fiery spectacle. One fan wrote, “Liwei – for a moment I thought it was all going to end like Sticky Vicky,” accompanied by an emoji covering their eyes in disbelief. Another declared, “That was insane,” while a third humorously confessed, “I tried this at home and ended up setting my curtains on fire!” The intensity of the act even elicited a raw outburst from a viewer exclaiming, “MOTHER OF F****** F***!”

Judge Simon Cowell, who praised Liwei as the first truly impressive act of the evening, seemed captivated despite his own health challenges in recent years. The 66-year-old media mogul has overcome serious injuries, including a cycling accident that cast doubt on his ability to walk again and a recent fall that temporarily kept him off the panel.

During Simon’s absence last year, Amanda Holden stepped into the demanding role of head judge, sharing candid insights about the experience. “I hated sitting in that seat,” Amanda admitted, explaining that being in the middle of the panel without support felt isolating. “Simon has a whole team on his side and family watching. Mine just raided my snacks and stayed in the dressing room!”

Amanda went on to praise Stacey Solomon, who filled in for Simon, highlighting the warmth and humor she brought to the judging panel. Drawing from Stacey’s own journey as a former X Factor contestant, Amanda described their judging styles as “quite similar—warm, funny, and empathetic.”

This season also welcomed KSI as a permanent judge, replacing Bruno Tonioli and joining the established panel of Simon, Amanda, and Alesha Dixon. Fans can also look forward to the return of beloved hosts Ant and Dec, who will guide contestants competing for a £250,000 prize and a coveted spot at the Royal Variety Show.

Liwei Yang’s daring fire act was a vivid reminder of the talent and thrilling risks that make Britain’s Got Talent a must-watch show, captivating viewers week after week.
