Boy Fatally Stabbed in Portuguese Town Before Suspected Killer Dies in Gas Explosion

A tragic incident unfolded in the Portuguese town of Tomar on Tuesday, where a 13-year-old boy lost his life in a brutal attack. According to local reports, the boy was stabbed by his mother’s ex-partner, who then barricaded himself inside their home.

The suspect subsequently caused a gas explosion, which not only claimed his own life but also injured two others — the boy’s mother and a National Republican Guard (GNR) officer. Both sustained injuries from shrapnel caused by the blast.

Officials from the Santarém Territorial Command revealed that GNR responded to a domestic violence alert around noon. Upon arrival, authorities encountered the devastating aftermath of a homicide followed by suicide.
