Bonmarché, a well-established women’s clothing and fashion retailer, is set to make a stylish return to Sutton Coldfield by opening a new store in the former JD Sports premises at the Gracechurch Centre. After JD Sports vacated the location earlier this year following a decade-long presence, Bonmarché will fill the vacancy with a fresh offering aimed at value-conscious shoppers.
The store will officially open its doors on Thursday, August 13 at 9:30 a.m., marking Bonmarché’s return to the town after previously closing. Founded in 1982 in Wakefield, the brand boasts over 40 years of experience delivering affordable, fashionable womenswear. The new Sutton Coldfield location promises to showcase a wide array of products—from essential wardrobe staples to lingerie, nightwear, accessories, and footwear.
To celebrate the opening, Bonmarché will offer exclusive deals to early visitors. The first 30 customers making a purchase will receive complimentary goody bags, while the first 200 visitors can participate in a free lucky dip prize draw. Additionally, five Golden Tickets worth £30 each will be hidden in the store, offering a fun, treasure hunt-style experience for shoppers.

Amanda Waterfield, retail director for Bonmarché, expressed enthusiasm about the return: “We’re delighted to be coming back to Sutton Coldfield and look forward to welcoming customers to our new store. This location will allow us to present our latest fashion collections and exciting celebrity collaborations, affirming our commitment to the high street and the community.”
The store’s product range will include new collections curated by brand ambassadors Lisa Snowdon and Lorraine Kelly. Notably, the shop will feature ‘The Edit’ by Lisa Snowdon, offering effortlessly stylish, tailored pieces alongside everyday wardrobe essentials. Lorraine Kelly’s ‘Lorraine Loves’ line showcases figure-flattering designs, adding a touch of celebrity style to the selection.
Bonmarché prides itself on catering to women across a broad size range, offering sizes 10 to 28 to ensure fashion access for all customers. Alongside their main label, the new store will carry the ‘everyday luxury’ brand Dash and the ‘casual lifestyle’ brand Autonomy, completing a comprehensive fashion destination for Sutton Coldfield shoppers.
With over 225 stores across the UK, this latest opening highlights Bonmarché’s continued commitment to reinvesting in local high streets and delivering stylish, affordable fashion for real women.
