The search for Susan Pryde, a 65-year-old woman reported missing on February 27, has tragically ended with the discovery of a body in Staffordshire. Authorities believe the remains found near Stapenhill Road, Burton-on-Trent, on Monday, March 9, are those of Susan, known to family and friends as Sue.
Susan’s disappearance prompted an extensive search operation involving drones, helicopters, and specialist teams. While formal identification is still pending, police have stated the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Staffordshire Police, along with Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service, responded to the discovery. A spokesperson confirmed that specially trained officers are providing ongoing support to Susan’s family during this difficult time. A file will be prepared for the HM Coroner as the investigation concludes.
