Tributes continue to pour in for Kristian Danielov, a beloved young man from the Midlands whose promising future was tragically cut short by a devastating car crash.
Kristian, 21, was a rear-seat passenger when the vehicle driven by his friend Corey Brown collided with a bollard on Newbury Lane, Oldbury. Following this, Brown lost control and struck three parked cars and a lamppost before fleeing the scene, abandoning Kristian and another passenger inside the damaged car.
Kristian suffered severe injuries and passed away in hospital nine days later. His family described him as a vibrant and cherished soul, saying, “Kris was only 20 years old, with his whole life still ahead of him. He was full of energy, the life of any room he walked into, with a big heart and a personality nobody could ignore. He loved his family deeply and was loved beyond words.”

He was the son, brother, grandson, and great-grandson of a close-knit family who treasured his laughter and spirit. His loved ones mourn the loss of a future he never got to experience—birthdays, milestones, marriage, and the family he dreamed of building.
“Our family has lost a piece of itself that can never be replaced, and we will carry our love for him forever,” they added.
On July 3, Corey Brown was sentenced to 10 years in prison at Wolverhampton Crown Court for his reckless driving and for fleeing the scene.
Detective Sergeant Richard Evans of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit expressed the gravity of the incident, stating: “A young man lost his life due to dangerous and reckless driving by someone he called a friend. This was a tragic incident, and Brown will now pay the price—spending a long stretch behind bars. I hope this sentence sends a strong message that dangerous driving can have devastating consequences.”
