Recent analysis of West Midlands Police data reveals the Birmingham streets where residents face the highest levels of antisocial behaviour (ASB). These areas are the hotspots for incidents involving nuisance youths, intimidation, and other troubling disturbances that disrupt daily life.
Antisocial behaviour ranges from minor annoyances like loud gatherings and engine revving late at night to more serious offenses such as harassment and threats. While some incidents may seem isolated, persistent problems create significant stress for residents who should feel safe in their own communities.
Between June 2022 and May 2023, thousands of ASB reports were made to the police across Birmingham. However, it’s important to note that not every incident is reported, as some residents may fear reprisals or believe nothing will change.

Longbridge has emerged as the area with the highest number of antisocial behaviour incidents, recording 280 offences in the past year—surpassing areas like Aston (239) and Small Heath and Highgate (230). Although Longbridge has seen a slight decrease in ASB compared to earlier in the year, its position as a problem area remains clear, highlighting ongoing challenges.
Other neighborhoods struggling with notable ASB figures include Ladywood (205), Sutton Trinity (201), South Yardley (188), Lozells and East Handsworth (187), and Hodge Hill (180). The range and persistence of disruptive behaviour continue to impact the quality of life for many residents across these communities.
Understanding the scale and nature of antisocial behaviour is essential to addressing it effectively. This data shines a light on where support and intervention may be most urgently needed to restore safety and comfort for Birmingham’s citizens.
