If you think you can dodge parking rules around Birmingham, think again. Recent data reveals the city’s top 10 roads where drivers are most frequently hit with parking fines, thanks to vigilant traffic wardens patrolling daily.
According to information obtained by BirminghamLive, thousands of motorists have received tickets on these streets throughout 2025. The main offenses include parking on double yellow lines, failing to pay parking fees, and overstaying time limits.
Leading the list is Alum Rock Road, where over 10,500 fines were issued just up to November—averaging an astonishing 32 tickets every single day. This figure dwarfs the second most fined location, Stratford Road in Sparkhill, by nearly 4,000 tickets.

Other notable roads with heavy enforcement include Gas Street, Washwood Heath Road, and Cornwall Street. These areas are characterized by a mix of busy shopping districts, residential neighborhoods, and high traffic volumes, all contributing to a competitive and often illegal parking environment.
Alum Rock Road, in particular, stretches through Saltley and Alum Rock, bustling with shops and homes alike. The constant demand for parking, especially during peak hours, means traffic wardens are relentlessly active, ensuring that parking laws are strictly upheld.
For drivers navigating Birmingham, it’s clear that attempting to flout parking regulations in these hotspots is a risky gamble. Vigilant patrols and high ticket volumes serve as a strong reminder to park legally and avoid hefty fines.
