Birmingham’s Titash Restaurant Named Best Indian Eatery in West Midlands: The Secret Behind Their Success

Titash Restaurant, a cherished Indian eatery located near the NEC and Birmingham Airport, has been crowned the best in the West Midlands. The prestigious Best of the West Midlands award was presented at the Nation’s Curry Awards on February 9, marking a milestone for the nearly four-decade-old establishment.

Jameel Ali, son of founder Athik Ali, expressed immense pride and joy at accepting the accolade at the Cedar Court Hotel in Huddersfield. “We were over the moon. We honestly didn’t imagine winning such a competitive award in a region filled with fantastic curry houses,” Jameel shared with BirminghamLive.

The win holds deep significance not only for the restaurant but also for the local and wider Asian communities. Jameel emphasized, “For our community, this recognition is monumental. It truly highlights the heritage and passion behind our food.”

Drawing inspiration from the Ali family’s Bangladeshi roots, Titash celebrates a rich tapestry of South Asian culinary traditions. “Our menu carefully balances authentic Indian flavors, featuring both North and South Indian dishes. We strive for a diverse yet genuine taste experience,” Jameel explained.

This commitment to culinary excellence is matched by the talented chefs behind the scenes, but according to Jameel, none of this would be possible without the support of loyal customers. Thanks to its convenient location near Birmingham Airport, Titash attracts visitors from around the world, as well as devoted locals.

“We simply wouldn’t be here without our customers. Their support and belief in us have made all the difference. We’re incredibly grateful,” Jameel said. With this celebrated achievement, Titash looks forward to continuing its upward journey and serving its community for many more years to come.
