Birmingham’s Picture & Pint: A Bar Like No Other in England

Picture & Pint, which opened its doors in December 2024, has quickly earned a reputation as Birmingham’s most distinctive bar. Situated in Cotteridge, this one-of-a-kind venue combines the warmth of a traditional pub with the quirky charm of a photo studio.

Owner Bill Singh, who has run Cotteridge Photo Co for over 30 years, has long dreamed of creating a space that feels like the beloved TV show Cheers—where everyone knows your name. “This place has definitely turned out just as I hoped,” Bill shared with BirminghamLive. “Hospitality is a whole new world for me, but I’m learning every day.”

Picture & Pint isn’t just about drinks; it’s a vibrant community hub. Regulars enjoy live music nights, and soon, a local art gallery will be added, allowing customers to buy artwork from local artists. Visitors often come for a new passport photo and leave feeling part of the community.

One of Bill’s fondest memories is celebrating birthdays at the bar, where locals settle into their favorite spots and friendships flourish. “It truly feels like Cheers here. People have become close friends, even planning trips together after meeting at Picture & Pint,” he says.

Located at 1894 Pershore Rd, Cotteridge, B30 3AS, Picture & Pint stands out as a unique gem in England’s bar scene—offering a blend of nostalgia, creativity, and community spirit unlike any other.
