Birmingham’s vibrant new indoor play centre, Party & Play, has officially opened its doors at the Swannies Centre in Erdington, and it’s already winning hearts among local families.
Designed for children up to 10 years old, Party & Play offers a broad range of exciting activities to spark imagination, build skills, and provide endless fun. Highlights include a captivating light-up slide perfect for racing with friends, a climbing wall that encourages strength and coordination, and an interactive ball pit featuring air ball blasters that engage children in dynamic projection-based games.
Creativity flourishes in the giant LEGO foam block pit where kids can invent and build their own worlds. The role play village — complete with a police station, fire station, and repair shop — invites children to immerse themselves in imaginative adventures by dressing up and acting out different roles.

Adventurers will love the multi-level play structure and obstacle course, a colourful indoor challenge filled with tunnels, slides, and climbing opportunities designed to keep kids active and entertained. Young toddlers haven’t been forgotten, with a dedicated under-threes area featuring a mini play structure, small slide, and soft foam blocks tailored for safe exploratory play.
Families can further enjoy the basketball court for friendly matches or relax in the reading corner, perfect for winding down with a story after an energetic session.
Party & Play welcomes walk-ins without the need for advance booking. Operating hours run from 10am to 6pm Monday through Friday, with earlier openings at 9am on weekends.
Pricing is family-friendly and tiered to suit different times. Off-peak weekday admission is £8.95 for children over 24 months and £6.50 for toddlers aged 12 to 24 months. Babies under one enter free with a paying child or for £3.50 individually. One adult per paying child gains free entry, with additional adults charged £2 each.
Peak times, including weekends and school holidays, carry slightly higher rates: £9.95 for children over two and £7.50 for toddlers, with baby and adult pricing remaining consistent.
The centre opened with a soft launch on April 20, and feedback from parents has been overwhelmingly positive. One delighted visitor shared, “I’ve been looking for exactly this,” while another enthusiastically exclaimed, “Let’s go!” A growing number of families are discovering the fun-filled destination just 10 minutes from Birmingham city centre, accessible via the A38 or a 17-minute train ride to Erdington Station.
