A recent analysis of West Midlands Police data has identified the most dangerous neighborhoods in Birmingham, exposing areas with the highest rates of violent and sexual crimes over the last 12 months.
This detailed breakdown highlights where serious offences such as murders, stabbings, robberies, domestic abuse, and sexual assaults occur most frequently. Residents can now see the crime statistics for their local areas and understand the challenges their communities face.
The findings confirm that the northern pockets of Birmingham—Lozells, East Handsworth, and Aston—continue to be the city’s crime hotspots. These neighborhoods, historically plagued by violent gang activity and turf wars, recorded over 2,300 violent and sexual offences each, the highest figures across all policing sectors in Birmingham. South Yardley is another area with a particularly high crime count, reporting more than 2,000 offences.
