Birmingham Uber Riders Ranked Third Worst in UK, Urged to Improve Etiquette

Birmingham Uber passengers have been warned over their low ratings, as the city ranks third worst in the UK for rider scores.

Recent data reveals that Bristol holds the lowest average passenger rating at 4.73, followed by London at 4.75. Birmingham comes next with an average rating of 4.79. This falls below the UK-wide average of 4.84, which is calculated based on a passenger’s most recent 500 trips.

Uber’s rating system allows drivers and riders to score each other out of five after every journey. The company stresses that even top cities have room to improve rider etiquette.

To help passengers raise their ratings, Uber advises avoiding common pitfalls such as being disrespectful, arriving late for pickups, eating inside the car, or changing destinations during a trip.

Andrew Brem, General Manager of Uber UK, said: “Thousands of dedicated drivers work hard daily to make every trip safe, friendly, and enjoyable. Our community thrives on mutual respect, and we hope this reminder encourages positive interactions between riders and drivers.”
