Nearly a year after a violent attack in Birmingham, the suspect, Jafir Nazir, remains on the run. The incident, which occurred last August on Monica Road, Small Heath, left a man seriously injured after being repeatedly stabbed in the head during a savage assault.
Detectives have launched multiple appeals to locate Nazir, who is believed to have been present at the scene. A £5,000 reward has been offered for information leading to his capture.
The attack involved the victim, who was riding a quad bike, being pushed to the ground and slashed multiple times in the head with a flick knife. Another man, 26-year-old Taylor Burns, has already been sentenced to six and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to wounding with intent and possession of a knife in connection with the assault.

While Burns is behind bars, Nazir’s whereabouts remain unknown. West Midlands Police continue to urge anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Ian Leech said in March, “The victim continues to recover from his injuries. It is vital that we locate Nazir to bring full justice in this case. We ask the public to help us by sharing any information they may have.”
Alan Edwards, West Midlands Regional Manager at Crimestoppers, which offered the reward, added: “This violent crime has deeply affected the victim, and Jafir Nazir remains wanted. We understand some may hesitate to contact police directly, so Crimestoppers provides a safe, anonymous way to share information. You can help bring Nazir to justice without revealing your identity.”
