A shopper was left stunned after capturing footage of a live mouse inside a sealed memory foam pillow bag at Primark’s flagship store in Birmingham city centre. The unsettling discovery occurred on Tuesday when Giorgio, who now lives in Moseley, noticed the tiny rodent moving around inside the £12 pillow’s plastic packaging.
Giorgio quickly alerted store staff, who were reportedly just as shocked by the sight. He described his disbelief at seeing the mouse still alive and active within the wrapped product, further emphasizing how the experience has made him wary of trusting even sealed items. “I feel like I need to wash everything now,” he said.
In the video shared by Giorgio, the mouse can be seen frantically scurrying around inside the pillow bag, attempting to find an escape. Additional footage shows the rodent roaming freely within the store before jumping into a basket containing more pillows. Giorgio recounted that the mouse appeared to be nesting nearby, feeding on sweet wrappers found inside cushions and nesting under a small box stored beneath them.
