Birmingham New Street is set to welcome an autumnal market weeks before the much-anticipated Frankfurt Christmas Market takes over the city centre. The event, known as New Street Eats, will run for four days from Thursday, 24 September to Sunday, 27 September.
This vibrant food festival will not only showcase an array of street food vendors but also feature independent traders offering a selection of handmade crafts, jewellery, home décor, and more. According to organisers LSD Promotions, visitors can enjoy a wide variety of cuisines, including authentic Ukrainian dishes, Turkish, Korean, Indian, Caribbean, Mexican, and Asian-inspired options. Other treats will include New York-style halal street food, sushi, sweet delicacies, speciality coffee, and drinks.
The market will be open from 10am to 7pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and from 10am to 5pm on Sunday. Entry to the event is free, making it an accessible way for locals and visitors alike to explore diverse flavours and unique artisan products.

In addition to culinary delights, shoppers will find handmade crafts such as natural skincare, ceramics, crochet items, perfumes, and finely crafted jewellery, all available within Birmingham’s bustling city centre.
Looking ahead, Birmingham’s annual Frankfurt Christmas Market will commence on Thursday, 5 November. The festive market will stretch from Victoria Square to the base of New Street, marking a highlight of the city’s Christmas calendar. After an early opening last year, the market will return to its usual November schedule in 2024.
Visitors should note that on the first Sunday, 8 November, the market will close temporarily to accommodate the annual Remembrance Day parade taking place in the city centre. More details will be provided closer to the date.
