Birmingham Monopoly Board to Feature Local Charity on Community Chest Square

The upcoming Birmingham Edition of the Monopoly board game is set to shine a spotlight on a local charity with a dedicated Community Chest square.

Following its announcement last month, the creators of Monopoly: Birmingham Edition are inviting the public to participate by nominating Birmingham-based charities to be included on the board. This exciting initiative follows the recent call for suggestions on local landmarks, which have now been finalized.

The charity nomination period is officially open until Wednesday, March 11, at 11:59 PM. John Keen-Tomlinson, Custom Games Partnership Manager at Winning Moves UK—the company producing the board under license from Hasbro—expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic public response: “We want to thank everyone who has sent in nominations. We are carefully reviewing each one. As a token of our appreciation, we’re thrilled to announce that a Birmingham charity will feature prominently on the game’s Community Chest space.”

To qualify, nominated charities must be officially recognized organizations linked to the Birmingham area. Both individuals and charities themselves are welcome to submit nominations via email to [email protected] before the deadline.

Fans of the beloved game can look forward to purchasing the official Birmingham Monopoly edition in stores this Christmas, where the chosen charity will take its place of honor.
