The family of Donald Sheppard, a 64-year-old man from Birmingham, have expressed deep sorrow following his death in a crash on the M6 motorway.
Mr Sheppard was driving a Ford Focus when he was involved in a collision with three lorries at around 4:10am on Monday, 17 August. The incident occurred on the northbound carriageway between junctions 15 and 16, near Seabridge in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Tragically, Mr Sheppard died at the scene of the accident.

In a heartfelt tribute, his family described him as a devoted and loving husband, a cherished brother, a much-loved uncle, and a loyal friend to many. They noted his kindness, warmth, and willingness to help others, which touched the lives of countless people.
“Don leaves behind a family and circle of friends who loved him dearly,” they stated. “While words cannot lessen the pain of his loss, the memories shared with him will remain a lasting source of comfort and pride. He will be remembered with love, missed every day, and held forever in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.”
Following the collision, all three lorry drivers were taken to hospital. Two have since been discharged, while one remains in hospital as of Thursday, 20 August.
Staffordshire Police are appealing for anyone with information or who has CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the crash to come forward. Witnesses are asked to contact Staffordshire Police, quoting incident number 86 of 17 August.
