Birmingham’s popular school holiday programme is returning in 2026, offering hundreds of free holiday clubs for local children. These clubs provide a wide range of activities including indoor and outdoor games, cookery classes, arts and crafts, sports, park adventures, and more.
The initiative, known as Bring it on Brum, is part of Birmingham City Council’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. It’s designed to support children from low-income families by providing healthy meals, enrichment activities, and funded childcare during school breaks, promoting health, wellbeing, and learning.
Funded by the Department for Education, Bring it on Brum holiday clubs are coordinated by StreetGames, a national sport-for-development charity. The clubs are delivered by trusted local providers across the city.

Eligibility is tied to school-aged children who receive benefit-related free school meals in Birmingham. Each participant also receives a nutritious meal when attending the clubs.
A spokesperson shared: “We believe every child deserves a great holiday. School breaks are better when young people are active, engaged, having fun, and learning new skills. Bring it on Brum holiday clubs offer a variety of activities such as indoor and outdoor games, cookery, arts and crafts, sports, dance, health and wellbeing sessions, quizzes, park activities, and nature trails.”
Bookings for the summer holiday clubs open on Monday, June 29. Parents and guardians can subscribe in advance on the Bring it on Brum website. Eligible children receive a school-issued code that allows families to book sessions at convenient times.
StreetGames collaborates with over 1,600 local community organisations to tackle challenges faced by young people in underserved areas, including mental health concerns, food insecurity, youth crime, and limited employment opportunities.
