Ben Whittaker to Face Conor Wallace in IBF Final Eliminator at Utilita Arena

Ben Whittaker will fight in front of a home crowd this Saturday, October 3, at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena in a significant IBF final eliminator bout. Known as ‘The Surgeon’, Whittaker will defend his WBC Silver belt as he faces Conor Wallace, the IBF number two-ranked challenger.

Whittaker, from Darlaston, holds an undefeated professional record of 12 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw, with 9 knockouts. His opponent, Northern Irishman Wallace, boasts a record of 17 wins and 1 loss, with 12 knockouts, and has developed his professional career in Australia.

The winner of this fight will become the number one contender for the IBF Light Heavyweight World Championship and earn the opportunity to challenge the unified champion Dmitry Bivol.

Since joining Matchroom Boxing in 2025, Whittaker has been recognised as one of British boxing’s most promising talents. Matchroom chairman Eddie Hearn has praised him as a ‘superstar in the making’ and encouraged support from boxing fans nationwide.

The main card for the event is scheduled to start at 7pm, with Whittaker and Wallace expected to enter the ring around 10.33pm.
