Strictly Come Dancing star Lewis Cope stunned both judges and fans by revealing he received an extraordinary “50 points” for his Halloween-themed dance performance.
On Saturday night, Cope and his professional partner Katya Jones delivered a breathtaking Couple’s Choice routine set to Radiohead’s “Creep.” The performance effortlessly blended Charleston, jazz, tap, and American smooth styles, earning a perfect 40 points from the judges.
During the results show on Sunday (November 2), Lewis shared his disbelief at the overwhelming reaction to their routine, calling it “absolute madness.” But the real surprise came when he shared how he racked up a total of 50 points—thanks to his “nana Dot,” who was watching from home.

Lewis explained, “Actually, I think I got 50. My nana Dot was at home and she’s got paddles, and she gave me a 10. So I got 50.”
The judges were unanimous in their praise. Craig Revel Horwood described the routine as “spec-tac-ular,” while Motsi Mabuse declared it “a real moment, out of this world.” Head judge Shirley Ballas called it “phenomenal work,” and Anton Du Beke hailed it as “the best dance of the series by miles,” adding that it was “as good as anything ever on Strictly.”
Lewis and Katya have consistently impressed, never scoring below an 8 since week two. Their stellar performances have placed them at the top of the leaderboard, earning them direct passage to week 7.
Meanwhile, Harry and his partner Karen faced a setback with a score of 26 due to a noticeable error during their American Smooth routine, spotted by all four judges.
