Matt Morsia, better known as Legend from the BBC’s Gladiators, has revealed that his young son Mauro was rushed to hospital following a serious skiing accident.
The former international athlete, powerlifter, and fitness YouTuber shared an X-ray image showing Mauro’s broken leg, which required a large cast extending from his foot to the top of his thigh. Alongside the X-ray, Matt posted a photo of his son getting the cast applied.
Captioning the post, Matt wrote: “Absolutely sick week of skiing in Switzerland ft. Mauro breaking his leg but taking it like an absolute champ.”

Fans have flooded the comments with supportive messages, wishing Mauro a swift and smooth recovery. One follower commented, “What a champ!! Recover well,” while another said, “Praying for Mauro to have a quick recovery.”
This is not the first health scare for Mauro. Recently, he experienced febrile convulsions caused by a fever during the onset of chickenpox, which worried his parents deeply. Matt’s wife, Sarah, described how Mauro suffered a seizure in the bath and was rescued just in time after being found face down in the water.
Sarah shared on social media the terrifying moment: “Last week Mauro suffered from something called febrile convulsions. He was coming down with chickenpox and the fever caused seizures/fitting… we called an ambulance which came quickly and got us to hospital and he is fine now.”
She also warned parents about the risks of leaving little ones unattended in the bath, emphasizing how quickly accidents can happen.
Despite these recent challenges, the family is hopeful for Mauro’s speedy recovery and remains grateful for the support from friends and fans alike.
