Asda Introduces Nationwide Self-Service Laundry Machines for Shoppers

Asda is transforming the shopping experience with an innovative service that allows customers to do their laundry while they shop. In collaboration with ME Group International, Asda is installing up to 700 Wash.ME self-service laundry machines across its UK store network, including Supercentres, Superstores, supermarkets, and Express sites.

Starting in May, these large-capacity machines—with 9kg and 20kg drums—will offer energy-efficient washing cycles and high-speed drying options, catering to everything from everyday loads to larger household laundry needs. Available 24/7 in many locations, the service provides unmatched convenience and flexibility for shoppers.

Joseph Sutton, Vice President of Asda Express, foodservice, and fuel, emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing customer convenience: “We’re always looking for new ways to make life easier for the customers who shop with us, particularly by broadening the range of services under one roof. This extensive rollout of Wash.ME units offers a quick, convenient, and cost-effective method for customers to manage their laundry while enjoying their shopping experience.”
