Lidl Accelerates Plans to Demolish Former Harborne Day Centre for New Store

Lidl has fast-tracked its plans to demolish the former Harborne Day Care Centre, following a proposal submitted earlier this year. The site, previously owned by Birmingham City Council, was closed and sold off last year, marking the end of its service to the community. In May, Lidl filed an application to clear the existing buildings and construct a new 24,000 square foot supermarket on the 2.5-acre site located off West Boulevard in Quinton.
