New Aston Villa signing Alejandro Garnacho is optimistic about reigniting his early promise under the guidance of Unai Emery. The 22-year-old winger joined Villa on a season-long loan from Chelsea, with the deal set to become permanent based on his appearances.
Garnacho transferred to Chelsea last summer for £40 million from Manchester United but found it challenging to replicate the form that made him stand out at Old Trafford. Now, with a fresh start at Villa, the Argentina international is focused on regaining confidence and making a meaningful impact.
“I’m really happy to be here and can’t wait to start playing,” Garnacho told Villa TV. “This is an important club that’s growing fast, and I want to be part of that. I’m looking for a place to build my confidence and reach the level I showed during my early days at Manchester United.

“After speaking with the manager, I feel assured he will support me to contribute to the team,” he added. “I watched the Europa League last season, and now with Villa entering the Champions League, it’s a huge step. Playing in this competition is vital, and I’m excited about the challenge ahead.”
Talking about his new home ground, he said, “Villa Park is one of my favourite stadiums in the league. Now it will be my home, and I’m looking forward to meeting the fans and making a difference.”
