Aldi has announced upcoming changes to its popular middle aisle Specialbuy schedule, impacting customers over the next few weeks. Known for its wide variety of affordable and often surprising products, the middle aisle has become a highlight for many Aldi shoppers.
Typically, new Specialbuy items debut twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays. However, this schedule will be temporarily altered due to upcoming bank holidays and planned store closures.
With Christmas Day falling on a Thursday this year, Aldi confirmed there will be no Specialbuy launch before the weekend. According to an Aldi spokesperson: “The next Specialbuy release is scheduled for Sunday, December 28, so we’ll see new stock landing after the Christmas period.”

Similarly, with New Year’s Day also on a Thursday, the first Specialbuy drop of 2026 will be delayed. Shoppers can look forward to two releases next week—one on Friday, January 2, and another on Sunday, January 4.
The upcoming Specialbuys will focus on home essentials aimed at keeping homes fresh and organized, including a three-tier airer, laundry accessories, a spray mop, and a selection of candles.
Customers should be aware that Aldi stores will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day, with shutters down during these holidays.
