Adele Roberts has opened up about the incredible transformation her body has undergone over the past decade, sharing poignant side-by-side photos from 2016 and today. The 46-year-old TV and radio personality candidly reflected on her journey of resilience after being diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2021, undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, and living with a stoma.
In October 2021, Adele underwent surgery for bowel cancer and later faced chemotherapy treatment, which dramatically affected her physically. Despite the challenges, she continued to document her health journey with fans and proudly announced she was given the all-clear in June 2022.
The recent photos highlight not only the physical changes but also the emotional journey Adele has endured. She revealed the 2016 image was taken at the beginning of her fitness journey—a commitment to better health she initially kept private. At the time, she didn’t realize she had cancer, nor would she be diagnosed for several years.

Reflecting on those years, Adele wrote: “This body has been through a lot over the last decade… Bowel cancer, getting a stoma, nine marathons, and who knows what’s next… Oh gosh, what a ride?!”
She described how her journey toward fitness began not with running or gym sessions, which she initially hated, but simply by walking more and reducing junk food intake—a small yet significant start that helped her regain control of her health. “I was so proud of my progress so I took a photo to remind myself of how far I’d come,” she shared, though the photo now also carries the weight of an undiagnosed illness.
Adele credits her fitness journey with helping her become more attuned to her body, which ultimately led to noticing symptoms and seeking help. She emphasized the importance of early detection and urged others not to be afraid to seek medical advice, as early intervention can save lives.
Highlighting the physical impact of chemotherapy, Adele recounted how treatment affected her fingertips, causing the loss of fingerprints and making everyday tasks like using touchscreens difficult. She also described how chemotherapy damaged the skin on her feet and changed the appearance of her tongue with black spots — experiences that underscore the harsh reality of cancer treatment.
Despite these hardships, Adele remained mentally strong, using movement and visualization to cope. “I used to think if the chemo is doing this to me, imagine what it’s doing to the cancer,” she said. Her determination and positivity shine through as she honors her body for carrying her through these trials.
Today, Adele celebrates not just her survival but a deeper appreciation for her body — transformed forever by everything it has endured. Her story is a testament to resilience, hope, and the power of self-care.
